The AWC3 Resources page brings together practical, evidence-based tools designed to support informed and effective watercourse crossing projects across Alberta.
Central to these resources is the Alberta Watercourse Crossing Guidebook, a comprehensive compilation of current Best Management Practices (BMPs) for the planning, design, installation, maintenance, and removal of watercourse crossings.
Complementing the guidebook, AWC3’s webinar library and video gallery expand learning through expert-led, accessible formats. Recorded webinars support education and training by covering topics such as regulatory compliance, ecology, permitting, road design, sedimentation, and emerging tools and technologies. The video gallery offers practical visual guidance on key field applications, including embedded and arch culvert installation, defining fish habitat, fishery isolation and rescue during repairs, and hydraulic design processes. Together, these resources provide a well-rounded knowledge base for practitioners, regulators, and partners working to improve watercourse crossing outcomes.
